Strings!!! Wooohooo!!!

The Pakistani band "Strings" was down here to perform at a department store called Shoppers Stop the day before, so I went to see them perform. I and my brothers are huge Strings fans, the last album they had called "Duur", we played that over maybe like 300 times in our walkman, their style was just refreshingly different. So when I hear they're coming to perform within 200 metres of my home, there was no way I was gonna miss this!

Okay, so they make it to Shoppers Stop by sharp 6 pm. They wave to the crowd and lots of noise is made, they start their performace and it was really good, never did imagine live guitars sound THIS good. They play an extra song cos the crowd has been so good. Now, I took my camera with me to take a picture with Strings, I thought it was only normal, fans taking pictures of their favorite pop/rock stars. Apparently it works differently in India.

Before the performnace I see thee boards which say "No personal autographs or photographs allowed", I was a bit tense but I kinda shrugged it off, hey we're a nation of law breakers, how harmful could a simple photograph be? Apparently it's very fucking thretaneing to the Shoppers Stop people. I take a photo during their performance and a guard tells me if I do that again he's gonna throw away my camera! So i didn't! Anyways, so after the performance, everyone who bought their CD's or tapes got it autographed, I reach up to Faisal and Bilal and ask the, do you minnd if we have a photo together? the both nod n say yes, I'm about to go take the picture when a mofo called "Shawn" I found that out later, grabs me by the arm and goes, "Whats the matter with you?????? Don't you know no photos allowd?" I said..hey man..I asked Strings and they're cool with that so lemme just take a photo n then I'll scram but NOOOOOOO Shawn, being the m***er f***er that he is just wants to play spoilsport.

He's pissed at the fact that I could hve my own personal photo graph with a famous rock band and he will utilise every power in his capability to disaalow me this pleasure, and the bastard almost succeeded. I don't take to people screwing with me very nicely, I called the guy some nasty badwords on his face in front of a few small kids and exited the area quickly. When Strings was leaving the building, I and a bunch of other guys waited for them to come out of the lift and thats when they stopped for the people there, I got my photo with one of the guys!! I still have to wait to see if they came out OK cos my camera was acting weird. Bilal, one of the string's, actually had to say to the security people around him "Arre fans hai bhaii..aane do", only then did people get their guitars signed and photos taken. I was just shocked at how physical these security people are willing to get with the fans and the stupid ass attitude of Shoppers Stop and Planet M at Andheri West. You guys really suck.

If Shawn from Planet M ever reads this, YOU'RE ONE NASTY MOFO. MAY YOU BURN IN HELL DICKWAD.

Anyways, I had a great time and a very memorable evening. I know I'll be attending a full fledged concert the next time they're around in Mumbai, or anywhere else in the world where we may be at the same time ;)

Ambition wins over genius 99 percent of the time

I was feeling like a total dumbass, till I came across the above saying. I read it on a piece about Jay Leno, who's mildly dyslexic and he's achieved what he has by sheer hard work and determination. Quite a story he has this man!

WHY "RIGHT ABOUT NOW"?

There's something good around the corner, something that should come my way right about...Now!
