Who Am I?
My name is Monish Datta. I'm 19yrs old and I live in Bombay,India.
I'm also the guy whom you probably know by the nick "LazerMan" on chat.
What do i do?
Well, I'm in college studying commerce in my thirdyear at Mithibai College here in Bombay.
Studies apart, I have a pretty interesting job, I scour the internet looking for newer and newer avenues for interesting work. I help my brother Bobby with the webpages we make, we have our own small internet company called the Transtech Corporation. We discuss newer and newer revenue generation schemes, expansion plans for the company etc etc. I have a kind of a PR job, I've helped our company get off the ground by getting some very cool projects, first it was the world famous psychic Uri Geller, then came along popstar Anaida, and even Miss world 1997 Diana Hayden.
I love the internet and am fascinated by mass media. I'd like to study something like Mass communications in the future. My dream is to have my own media company, one that would specialize with the internet as the main medium.

I like lots of stuff... I love computers and the internet
I love reading...and reading everything!! I love reading different magazines from around the world, we have a huge collection of magazines at my place that keeps growing! Right from Archies comics at a young age to reading about conspiracy theories, autobiographies etc. etc...I love reading everything.
I am an absolute foodie. I've always been a great lover of great food :) From the shwarmas and chicken fry in Saudi Arabia, to Paella in Spain, Fish n chips and Tiramisu in England, I've been fortunate to taste a lot of food from around the world. In the end nothing beats sizzling sheesh kebabs ;)
I've loved animals ever since I can
imagine. I detest people who don't like animals. I've had pets ever since
I can remember and I don't think I can lead the rest of my life without
the companionship of a pet. I'm going to have a small zoo when I settle
down in life. Before that I have massive plans for my Save the tiger project
and I can hardly wait till I'm over with college so that I can start.
I'd like to think that I'm a very friendly person, I enjoy the company
of the few close friends that I have and I'm always open to new friends.
I find stories of other people's lives very interesting. I have loads
of internet friends and I'm still looking for more. I love writing letters
to my penpals, I've just recently started collecting postcards, if you
want some from India, just e-mail me ;)
Personal History
Well, I was born on 17.2.81 in Calcutta and then lived in Dhahran,Saudi Arabia till the year 1990, when the gulf war started and we had to return. I used to attend "The Indian Embassy School" in Dhahran.Not many people know it but Saudi Arabia is a pretty cool place to live in. Here in Bombay I attended,"St.Xaviers high school", Vile Parle (w), I passed out from St.Xaviers in the year 1996 and went to N.M college for commerce and economics for my junior college.
My Family
I am the youngest in a small family of four. My brother Bobby, who's my best friend and also the co-founder of the Transtech corporation, is a B.Sc Physics graduate and he loves his job and his similar interests to mine. He's crazy about cars and needs to reduce weight. :)
My Dad right now is the proprietor of Delta International, an export company here in Bombay. He's worked for years in the Air-force and after that he worked for 20 years with Singapore Airlines as a customer services officer in Dhahran Saudi Arabia..
My mom is pretty much like any other mother.
She grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal. Her father was the King's personal pilot
there. She used to be an air-hostess with Air Nepal before she got married.
She's now just a housewife, she enjoys painting and arty things like that
too.
